Pricing questions, answered plainly
- What counts as a contact?
- A contact is one person (or organization) in your database that can receive email from you — the same record your dues, event, and email features all read from. You're billed on how many you have, not on how many messages you send.
- What happens when my trial ends?
- The trial runs 14 days and never asks for a card up front. If you decide to continue, you add a payment method and your first bill is $29 plus $0.06 for each contact over 100. If you do nothing, we don't charge you anything — your account simply pauses. Nothing is billed to a card we never collected.
- Is there a limit on how much email I can send?
- There's a generous soft quota — about 10× your contact count per month — to keep deliverability healthy. If you ever approach it, we reach out and talk it through like people. You will never get a surprise overage charge; email volume isn't a billed line item at launch.
- Do you charge a fee on payments I take?
- No. You connect your own Stripe account and MapleGather adds zero platform transaction fees on top of it. Your processor charges its standard rate; we take nothing extra from your dues, tickets, or donations.
- Are there plan tiers or feature paywalls?
- No. Every customer gets the whole product. Contact count is the only variable in your bill — there is no "upgrade to unlock" wall and no feature rationed by plan.
- Do you offer annual or nonprofit discounts?
- Not yet — we'd rather launch with one honest price than a maze of discounts, and we're being candid that these aren't available today. Adding them later only ever lowers a price, so if that changes it will be good news, never a surprise increase.
